Young Indigenous Australian from the future
Australian Aborigines (Indigenous Australians) are the indigenous people of Australia, also sometimes called the "Australian Bushmen", linguistically and racially isolated from other peoples of the world. They speak Australian languages, a significant part only in English and/or various pidgins.

The indigenous people are genetically most like the indigenous people of Papua New Guinea and are more distantly related to groups from Eastern Indonesia. They are more distinct from the indigenous populations of Borneo and Malaysia, sharing a common drift with them than compared to groups from Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.

Currently, the number of Australian aborigines, representatives of the Australoid race, is small, about 250 thousand people.
